Charleston

We just got back from a 3 day trip to Charleston, NC with Cam's parents. It is soooo HOT and humid there. We went out every night which is pretty much the only time you can go out without sweating. Our favorite restaurant was called "Hanks" where we got shrimp and grits as an appetizer. That might sound weird but it was one of the best things we've had and actually got them again when we went back to the restaurant. I got a seared tuna with black olives, caramelized onions, and goat cheese... YUMMMMMMMM.

Charlie (bellman charlie from Aspen) ended up being in Charleston the same time we were so we met up with him one night for "trivia night" and came in 3rd place. Cam and I really had no part in the 3rd place win.

Our 3rd day there we went to the beach and checked out some of the other islands. Of course I got burned.

We had an awesome time! We're back in Pine Hurst until Oct. 2nd. We're trying to figure out how to get certified for scuba diving before we leave.

We're in North Carolina

We made it to NC! Our first stop was to Chapel Hill to visit Cam's alma mater.  Our we stayed at the hotel he used to work at (The Carolina Inn) which was beautiful.  We went out with a few of his buddies that night.  The next day his sister Lauren and brother in law Paul came to visit us.  We had a blast and went to the UNC vs. ECU football game the next morning.

We're currently in Pinehurst, NC at his parents.  We're doing some serious relaxing!

More Pics

Here are some pics from VT. Today we met Franklin. He is a very protective bull that did not want us near his ladies and made that very clear. He pawed the ground and made some intense noises to keep us away. We are heading down to North Carolina on Sept. 17th!

Rowan showing us how to operate a tractor at the Apple Festival.

Cam chilling on the boat.

Cam got the hang of it! We decided skiing would be better at Split Rock. We were right.

My turn.

The sun came out while we were out there

Aspen to VT

Cam and I finally created our blog to keep you posted on where we are during the next 3 months since we will not have our cellphones and most likely won't have time to email everyone individually.  Check out our blog every once in a while to see what we're up to.

We left Aspen on Monday Sept. 7th.  Since our flight out of Denver wasn't until midnight we decided to catch the 1pm Rockies game against The Reds.  Since it was Labor Day we hit a little more traffic than expected and didn't get to the game until half way into the 7th inning! Just enough time to get a beer before they stopped serving after the 7th.  They were losing when we got there and were able to get two runs to win the game by the end of the 8th.  We got some dinner and off to the airport for a smooth ride to good ole' VT.

Lila and Rowan greeted us at the airport at 9:30am on Tuesday and brought us to the Farm.  After a brief tour, we took a long and well deserved nap in the cabbage (for those of you who don't know, it's a little cabin in the woods).

When Marshall got home we went down to the lake for a quick waterski... Cam tried waterskiing for the first time ever and got up!... pictures to come.

More to come later. Apple Festival at the Orchard tomorrow.
